 National Training Adviser - Vanuatu

The Mama Graon – Vanuatu Land Program is a strategic Government of Vanuatu long term initiative aimed at improving decision making, making land more transparent, improving land management procedures and practices, and in doing so minimising the potential for land conflict. The initiative is being supported by the Australian Government’s Overseas Aid Agency (AusAID) and the New Zealand Government.

The Mama Graon Program is advertising and seeking applications from ni-Vanuatu for a position of National Training Adviser. The National Training Specialist shall be based in Port Vila at the office of the Customary Land Tribunal Unit for the duration of the assignment. Visits to other provinces may be required. The National Training Specialist shall work with the staff of the Customary Land Tribunal Office, the Malvatumauri, national counterparts and also work in close coordination with other international and national advisers.

The National Training Specialist will be required to work closely with the International Training Adviser if a person is recruited to support training initiatives throughout the Program..

International Gender Adviser - Vanuatu

The Mama Graon – Vanuatu Land Program is a strategic Government of Vanuatu long term initiative aimed at improving decision making, making land more transparent, improving land management procedures and practices, and in doing so minimising the potential for land conflict. The initiative is being supported by the Australian Government’s Overseas Aid Agency (AusAID) and the New Zealand Government.

The Mama Graon – Vanuatu Land Program is seeking applicants for an International Gender Adviser for an assignment of 2.5 months.

The International Gender Adviser will prepare the Program Gender Policy and will provide training and mentoring to the national Gender Focal Point. The Adviser will also provide input to and will assist in mainstreaming gender throughout the Program and within the Program partners, raising awareness of gender issues and ensuring women’s representation in all key land processes and procedures.

Under AusAID’s Adviser Remuneration Framework the position has been categorised as Group B, Level 3 with a daily rate up to A$707 plus per diem, accommodation and travel costs.
