Hiring: Geospatial Quality Control Team Leader – based in Jakarta

About us

Land Equity International (LEI) has a 25-year history in successfully delivering international development projects for and providing technical advice to donors around the world, including the World Bank and the UK’s Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), and direct to government. We deeply engage and continuously consult with counterpart agencies to manage demands and expectations that ensure sustained results. A foundation to LEI’s success has been the respect and ‘family’ spirit in which we approach our business, employees, contractors and counterparts, ensuring we develop a unified path for improving the lives of the poor through good land governance. Our team has a 35-year history in Indonesia, with LEI’s founders being engaged in land administration and mapping projects since 1991.

The Project

Through the Integrated Land Administration and Spatial Planning Project (ILASPP), Indonesia’s national mapping agency, Badan Informasi Geospasial (BIG), is contracting private companies to producing high-quality base maps at multiple scales for climate action, spatial planning, and national development.

The quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) services will support Component 4 of ILASPP, which encompasses:

  • Rural and Forest Areas: Production of updated digital maps at multiple scales covering approximately 1,622,532 km², plus medium-small scale mapping of the Sulawesi Region covering 186,277 km² (2025-2029).

This is a 4-year project requiring rigorous quality oversight on behalf of BIG to ensure accurate geospatial data delivery across Indonesia.

LEI will be bidding to provide quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) services to maintain the quality and timely delivery of urban and non-urban data capture for ILASPP. LEI will act on behalf of BIG throughout the project, coordinating the activities of BIG and private Service Providers in capturing and processing data according to strict specified conditions and standards. Data will be acquired throughout Indonesia and processed in a number of Map Processing Centres established by BIG. The work duration is expected between 2026-2029.
