Assisted the World Bank Task Team in supporting the Government in their conceptualisation of a national Land Administration and Land Use Development Program.

Project Narrative

The objective of this consultancy was to assist the World Bank Task Team and Government in the conceptualization of a national Land Administration and Land Use Development Program (LALUDEP).

Key services provided

LEI participated in a mission to (i) disseminate the report “Ethiopia: Options for Strengthening Land Administration”; and (ii) conceptualize the LALUDEP. The consultant held consultations and agreed with various stakeholders, in particular Government counterparts, on the conceptualization of rural land administration activities for the LALUDEP. Developed the next steps (including timeline, TORs, etc. ) for the preparation of rural land administration activities for the LALUDEP. Provided input into the aide-memoire of the report dissemination and LALUDEP conceptualization mission, with concrete next steps defined for the preparation of the urban land administration aspects of the LALUDEP. Provided written input to guide the initial preparation process.
